Memorial Pages

The Department of History is in the process of establishing memorial pages for several former faculty members, which will include brief biographies, photographs, lists of publications, and quotes from friends, colleagues and former students. Currently, we have memorial pages for Steven Carl Averill, former Professor of History, who died in the fall of 2004; Richard E. Sullivan, former Professor of History and Dean of the College of Arts and Letters, who died in May of 2005; and Professor J. Morgan Sweeney, who died in August of 2007. Those wishing to contribute to this page or any other memorial pages are encouraged to contact the department website administrator.
